Privacy Policy

When you use PatternAligned, we collect:

• Account data — your name and email address, provided through GitHub OAuth.
• Conversation data — messages you send to Nova, AI responses, session metadata, and behavioral signals inferred from your communication patterns.
• Usage data — which AI models handled your queries, token counts, and timestamps. This is used to calculate cost and improve routing.
• Profile data — information you provide during onboarding (role, domain, working style, goals).

We use your data to:

• Power Nova — your AI interface remembers your behavioral patterns across sessions to give you more relevant, personalized responses.
• Route your queries to the right AI model (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o, or Perplexity) based on the nature of your request.
• Generate session summaries that persist across conversations so Nova maintains continuity.
• Provide your host with anonymized usage metrics (query volume, model routing percentages, estimated API cost).

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Your messages are processed by one or more of the following providers depending on query routing:

• Anthropic — Claude models. Privacy policy
• OpenAI — GPT-4o. Privacy policy
• Perplexity AI — Real-time web search queries. Privacy policy

Each provider's data handling is governed by their own policies. PatternAligned does not control how these providers process or retain data sent to their APIs.

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Render.com in the United States. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not currently offer data residency outside the US.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, conversation history, behavioral data, and session summaries are permanently deleted within 30 days.

You can:

• Delete your account — from your profile settings. This permanently removes all your data.
• Request your data — email hello@patternaligned.com and we will provide a copy within 30 days.
• Opt out of analytics — contact us to disable Vercel Analytics for your account.

We use session cookies to keep you signed in (via NextAuth). We also use Vercel Analytics, which may set cookies to track aggregate page views. No advertising cookies are used.
